Safety comes first, and digital tooth imaging is a method in which you are exposed to the least possible radiation. The recording is performed by specially trained medical radiology engineers with many years of experience in dental radiology who undergo additional training according to the rules of the Institute for Radiation Protection. Our recordings are adapted to the needs of those who analyze them, i.e. read and have the highest possible diagnostic value.

Useful information

What is an Orthopan?

A “classic” image of the upper and lower jaw, which includes all teeth, the lower jaw joint, as well as the sinuses of the upper jaw. It can be printed on foil, burned to a CD and / or sent by E-mail.

Orthopan is an image that your doctor will usually request during the first visit, or for a general examination / control after a long time. It shows all the teeth in both jaws, the jaw joints as well as part of the jaw sinus. In addition to the teeth that we can observe in the mouth, this video also shows teeth that have not erupted – their approximate position can be seen, and sometimes it is possible to see whether those teeth are healthy or not. You can also see the position of the roots, their relationship, as well as the condition of the bones of both jaws.

What is a Dental Radiogram?

A dental radiogram, popularly called a small image, is a type of image that shows several adjacent teeth (usually two or three teeth). It is considered to be more precise than orthopan, but its field is much smaller, so it is often used in the diagnosis of already “suspicious” teeth, control, as well as in dental treatment.

What is a 3D image (CBCT)?

3D imaging or CBCT is the latest type of imaging in dental radiology. An image that is extremely accurate and uses technology similar to a medical scanner, but with incomparably lower amount of radiation. Due to the large number of sections made by the camera, there are no hidden or deformed structures in 3D images, because unlike orthopan, which converts into two dimensions, 3D images retain the ratio of structures, because in addition to height and length, it shows the width of all structures in a 1:1 ratio. It is most often used during oral surgery, implant placement, treatment of teeth with multiple roots, etc.

Which scan is best to take?

There is no best scan, because each type of scan has its purpose, so it is best to consult with your dentist / doctor which scan you need. In our Orthopan center you can have any scan done without prior appointment or instructions.

What does the x-ray look like and how long does it take?

Thanks to the latest generation devices available at our C Dental Center, the scanning time is reduced to a minimum (less than one minute). Processing of orthopans and dental radiograms takes two to three minutes, after which your image is printed. The total time spent in our center is ten minutes on average. Due to the complexity of the 3D image, its processing is somewhat longer (about 30 minutes).

How much radiation is there when scanning?

In the past, X-ray machines used very high doses of radiation, but constant work was done to improve the quality of the images, and to reduce those doses to a minimum. The most modern cameras used by our center provide very accurate images with minimal doses of radiation.

Pricelist

With the highest quality standard, introduction of new technologies, application of all radiation protection rules, attitude towards patients and highly professional principles towards fellow dentists, we have become the leading institution for dental X-ray in Serbia.

All types of imaging are done on top dental X-rays with the least amount of possible radiation for the patient.

You receive the images after a few minutes, depending on the type of scan
